FIM-Family Project ‘Laos’ – How more can be achieved together
A project with multiplier effect in Laos, with the chance to support young people and their families in education and health competences and to strengthen the association system and thus the social cohesion nationwide.
In November 2018 we will train 40 young Laotians from all parts of Laos as group leaders at the Lao Football Association Technical Centre in Vientiane. At the end of this intensive training week, participants will be in possession of a FIM-Family licence (similar to L1CCF), training in training and tactical behaviour, medical knowledge (nutrition, hygiene, first aid and AIDS prevention), and social knowledge (values and social behaviour).
These 40 young people are selected by regional NGOs from all over the country and they commit themselves, back in their own region, to building a football team with at least 25 children, regardless of gender, physical disabilities or ethnic and cultural background. The prospective group leaders will be supported in their activities during the development phase until summer 2019.
In cooperation with Laotian NGOs with local expertise in the fields of health, social affairs and integration/ inclusion, professional and socially experienced educators and trainers teach the children knowledge, skills and life skills on the football pitch.
FIM- Family- together we are stronger!
The Laos project is implemented in cooperation with experts from the FIM family (SV Werder Bremen, FC Chelsea, Real Madrid Foundation). This combination, as well as competent knowledge, is unique and guarantees a high quality of the education of the young people.
Cooperation with the Swiss organisation Laos-Bildung Gesundheit Sport and the local organisations, the Lao Football Association and the Lao Red Cross ensure that projects in Laos run safely.
