Role Model Awards & Gala Dinner 2017

On the evening of the first Forum Day, the “FIM-Role-Model-Award” was awarded for the fourth time. In a total of five categories exemplary achievements in the social field were honored. The prize was awarded to the winners from the hands of H.E. Prince Constantin of Liechtenstein and the predecessors in the respective categories:

  • Personality
  • Non-Profit Organisation
  • Social Department of a Football Club
  • Social commitment of a Football Club
  • Lifetime Role Model


Alexander Fangmann, Captain Blind German Football National Team is honored for his commitment in the German Blind Football by FIM and Stefan Kiefer (Chairman of the Board DFL Foundation).

Non Profit Organisation
Lic Iur.Tamara Erez(Board Member and Lawyer) & Vito Angelillo( Executive Director) from Terre des hommes take of the award for the excellent social commitment with the inclusion of  football from H.E. Prince Constantin from the principality of Liechtenstein and Willi Lemke(former special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Sport for Development & Peace)

Social Department of a Football Club
FC St. Pauli has been awarded for Role Model Award for the launch of the platform “Kiezhelden” and the “Leuchtturmprojekte” in the category social department of a football club. The award was handed over to Ewald Lienen (technical Director) and Christian Prüss (Head of CSR) by H.E. Prince Constantin from and to Liechtenstein and Dr. Hubertus Hess-Grunewald (President SV Werder Bremen).

Social Engagement of a Football Club
Paris Saint-Germain was the first football club in France, who has a welfare foundation and outstanding projects such as “L’école rouge et bleu”. Laura Delort (Responsible for Foundation Missions) and Amir Ghanoudi the award was handed out from H.E. Prince Constantin from Liechtenstein and Andy Rose (Disability Inclusion Coordinator Chelsea FC Foundation).

Lifetime Role Model
Prof. Denise Barrett-Baxendale (MBE Chief Executive) received her Role Model Award for her work in the foundation “Everton in the community” by Siobhan Atkinson (Interim Community Director Leicester City FC Foundation).
