More sport clubs, corporation, NGOs and governments work in partnership to create social change. But what are the key factors for successful partnerships in sports and sustainable outcomes?

 

Background & idea
Corporations and sports organizations have started to look at Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as an opportunity to contribute to society while strengthening their businesses at the same time. For organizations that see CSR as an opportunity, the big challenge is execution. Partnering can provide a practical way forward. Sustainable results to social problems are only possible in smart collaboration with politics, economy and civil society.

Aims
The two-day forum examining the opportunities of partnering in sports to drive social change. Our theme, “Football & Social Responsibility”, asks the question, “what are the key factors for successful partnerships in sports and sustainable outcomes?”.

Target audience
The Forum unites a dynamic community of leaders from the world of sports, business, politics and civil society to unlock the potential of smart partnering to tackle social issues in a sustainable way.

International Forum “together we are stronger”

The International Forum, held bi-annually, aims at presenting actionable and innovative ideas on how sports and especially football can be used effectively and sustainably to promote the inclusion of socially or physically disadvantages people as well as advance development and peace.

The high-profile event brings together leading personalities from the world of sports, the non-profit sector, politics, business and academia in a platform of dynamic conversations and new thinking designed to spark ideas to the social aspects of football. It puts a spotlight on new trends in “Corporate Social Responsibility & Football”.

The International Forum is under the patronage of Wilfried Lemke, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace and organized by the foundation FOOTBALL IS MORE.

Role Model Awards

On the occasion of the International Forum, the Role Model Awards Ceremony & Gala Dinner takes place. The Role Model Awards honour international personalities and organisations in the field of sport for using their privileged status for the good of others. The award recognises significant contributions in the social field of sport.
