//Laos daily reports: Day 4

“Education & Integration through Football”

Review Day 4

On the last day it was “Swap football pitch for schoolyard”. The 40 young coaches and their instructors made their way to a suburb of Laos’ capital Vientiane and visited a primary school. The goal was to put into practice what they had learned in the last three days – with 160 primary school pupils! An overwhelming number, but no problem for the motivated young coaches. In the morning they led training sessions with the children, where everyone had a lot of fun. But the highlight was yet to come. A mini World Cup tournament. Divided into 16 teams, the children represented countries like Malaysia, Indonesia or Cambodia with their coaches. The tension rose until the grand final, where the winners could enjoy a trophy provided by FIM. But in the end everyone was the winner – children & young coaches! The latter were able to rejoice again in the evening. At the farewell party they were honoured with certificates and much applause for their outstanding performances. The perfect conclusion for the project “Education & Integration through Football”.
