VfB Stuttgart and the FOOTBALL IS MORE Foundation (FIM) will from now on cooperate in the VfBfairplay project for inclusive football promotion (PFIFF). Within this framework, the specific training and further education of the trainers is one of the main topics.
This is particularly indispensable if, for example, disabled footballers want to practise their favourite sport in the local football club. For a coach this means a very special task and challenge. The FOOTBALL IS MORE Foundation is working specifically on advancing this topic.

During the FIM Academy at the University of Liechtenstein, the first PFIFF coaches have already successfully passed the certification course “Coach for Inclusion, Health and Peace”. Last September, a PFIFF team also took part in a Special Adventure Camp in Altach, Austria and competed with teams from AC Florence, SCR Altach and Chelsea FC.

From 1 to 4 August 2019, the 10th International Helvetia U16 Cup (https://www.helvetia-u16.com/) will take place in Lugano. The VfB U16 team trained by Heiko Gerber will compete against Liverpool FC and Benfica Lisbon, among others. For the first time, a team with footballers from the PFIFF will go on a goal hunt for VfB at the 1st Special Needs European Cup, which will take place at the same time. The team, coached by Fritz Quien, will face teams from Manchester City and AC Milan, among others.
