We are proud to now be part of the renowned Erasmus+ programme and to further develop European cooperation in the field of sport and education. The Erasmus+ programme offers an outstanding platform to promote intercultural exchange and open up new opportunities for young people across Europe.
Job shadowing
As part of the job shadowing programme, we carried out our first Erasmus+ project with our European partner MSK Námestovo. The organisation visited our project, the International Helvetia Cup - Football for Inclusion 2024, with 12 coaches and support staff to get to know our work better and benefit from the expertise of the FIM-Family.
Reflections on the project - MSK Námestovo
‘The exchange offered a detailed insight into the work of the FOOTBALL IS MORE Foundation and first-hand experience. We had the opportunity to talk to various employees about their work, methods and challenges and also to discuss the word ‘inclusion’, as the concept itself was very broad. We had the opportunity to observe the organisational structure and working methods, the project managers, the experts from the FIM family and the various target groups (football teams for people with and without disabilities) on site and to take part in various activities. This allowed us to deepen our partnership on both a professional and human level and to plan the next steps of the project through personal dialogue.
This form of intensive learning and exchange was an enriching experience for both sides, showing how sport can bring cultures and communities closer together as a unifying element.
Small-scale partnerships in youth (KA 210 YOU)
Another project is already being planned as part of the KA 210 YOU Erasmus+ programme, which will continue the successful collaboration with MSK Námestovo. The aim is to ‘develop and test an education and training programme for the inclusion of children and young people in team sports’. We are using the FIM family's many years of expertise to promote inclusion at the partner organisation (football club) with mainstream schools and special schools and to implement inclusion in the club step by step and promote exchange between the various educational institutions.
By participating in the Erasmus+ programme and through these initiatives, we see a great opportunity to strengthen our mission and vision at a European level, forge long-term partnerships and promote the idea of inclusion, equal opportunities and shared learning throughout Europe.
