FOOTBALL IS MORE-Family meets in Vaduz to set new impulses for inclusion

On September 21 and 22, 70 FIM-Family members and other partners from 12 different countries met in Vaduz to celebrate together achieved goals and to set new impulses for future projects.

The FIM-Family is an international network consisting of governmental and educational institutions, non-profit organizations, companies, football clubs and committed individuals. Together with them we realize national and international educational and sports projects to promote inclusion.

During presentations and stimulating discussions, new possible ways of cooperation were discussed to make even better use of the strengths of each individual member of the FIM Family in the future and thus to promote inclusion even more.

The talks were moderated by Honey Thaljieh, FIFA Communications Manager, and Thomas Hengartner, FIM Foundation Boardmember. After the welcoming words of Dr. Daniel Risch, Head of Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, and Petra Miescher, Mayor of Vaduz, Daniela Bas, former Director of the UN Division for Inclusive Social Development, and founder of the SustainABILITY Advisory Boutique, spoke about the relevance of inclusion in our society and how football can support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's).

On Friday, the exchange continued. The FIM Family was first welcomed by Manfred Kaufmann, Member of the Parliament of Liechtentsein, Daniel Hilti, Mayor of the Municipality of Schaan, and Manuel Frick, Minister for Society and Culture of Liechtenstein. Majid Rashed, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee, opened the exchange. He spoke about the barriers that still prevent many people from participating in society on an equal footing and about the important role that govermental institutions have to play in breaking them down.

We would like to thank the representatives of the following organizations, who enriched the exchange with their presence, expertise and experience:
