Under the guidance of Rudolf Batliner, former ETH Zurich, and Fritz Quien, inclusive football coach at VfB Stuttgart, our seminar at the University of Liechtenstein to promote inclusion started on September 7, 2022. The students had the opportunity to play football with crutches and blindfolds and could thus experience the challenges of people with disabilities through self-awareness. In the afternoon, the program continued with a theater workshop. Beatrice Brunhart-Risch, theater pedagogue and director of the Young Theater Liechtenstein, playfully showed how inclusion can succeed on stage.
On Friday, September 9, our 2nd seminar day for inclusion started at the University of Liechtenstein using the example of the team sport football. The students had the exciting task to work in different groups on the topic of "Management of Inclusion Teams" and were able to present their ideas afterwards. In the afternoon, we welcomed the team for people with disabilities of SCR Altach. On the schedule was an inclusive football training, where the students and the athletes from Altach played together in mixed teams. After the final game, all participants could look forward to a well-deserved break, where the students also had the opportunity to talk to the players from SCR Altach about the topic of "inclusion in football".
The last day of the seminar started on Saturday at 08.00 a.m. with an interesting lecture about "Inclusion in Liechtenstein", presented by Ute Mayer, Office for Social Services.
From 09.00-10.00 a.m. walking football - an inclusive form of football was on the program.
In order to put the theory into practice, the students were allowed to plan and prepare their own training sessions, which were then discussed with the sports director and performed together. We ended this year's seminar at the University of Liechtenstein with a course evaluation.
