The next FOOTBALL IS MORE coaching course for inclusion in football will start in November 2023 in Schaffhausen at the BBC Arena. Registrations are already open.
The interdisciplinary Y+S module will take place in collaboration with the Sports Department of the Canton of Schaffhausen as part of Youth and Sport (Y+S) from 17 to 18 November 2023 in Schaffhausen.
In theory and practical units, participants learn the basics for planning and designing exercise units with people with and without disabilities. Through self-awareness as well as encounters and training with footballers with disabilities, fear of contact is reduced, commonalities and different strengths and weaknesses are experienced, and mutual understanding and trust are built up. After completing the training, the participants are able to lead an inclusive football team, flexibly adapt exercises to the different capabilities of the players and thus promote inclusion in and through football.
The educational program was developed in cooperation with the national and international partners of the FOOTBALL IS MORE foundation. Inclusive football coaches from VfB Stuttgart, FC Lugano Special Needs I Camaleonti, Chelsea FC Foundation, Paris Saint-Germain Foundation, Benfica Foundation and the Heilpädagogisches Schul- und Beratungszentrum Sonnenberg-Baar have contributed their years of experience in training people with disabilities to the program.
Registration is possible until November 3, 2023 for Y+S leaders via https://bit.ly/3MDRnsd (course name: Inklusion im Teamsport am Beispiel Fussball) or for all others at info@footballismore.org. The participation costs are 60 CHF incl. lunch for Y+S leaders (A-profile), 160 CHF incl. lunch for persons without Y+S recognition (without federal support). For J+S leaders, the course leads to the extension of the J+S recognition.
