International Volunteers Day !

«Today I say to all volunteers around the globe: Thank you. For choosing to improve the world. For finding inspiration to act. For creating solutions. For keeping our hopes alive. And to the world, our message is: Imagine what we could achieve if all joined in. And volunteered.»

Toily Kurbanov, Executive Coordinator, United Nations Volunteers.

Today, on International Volunteers Day, we would like to add our thanks and share this important message:

«If eight billion people volunteered, there would be unlimited opportunities to work together for a better world and sustainable development»

Our inclusive football tournament for people with and without disabilities, the International Helvetia Cup - Football for Inclusion, will once again take place in St. Gallen in August 2024.

Football clubs for people with and without disabilities from Switzerland and abroad will meet in St. Gallen from 8 to 11 August to experience inclusion together on and off the pitch.

The U17 teams and the teams for people with disabilities from FC St. Gallen 1879, Paris Saint-Germain, Rangers FC and SV Werder Bremen have already registered.

You too can be part of it!

The FOOTBALL FOR INCLUSION event combines a football tournament for young people with mental and/or physical disabilities, the Special European Cup, with an international U17 tournament, the International Helvetia Cup, and a regional junior and women's football tournament. The special thing about this sporting event is that the participating clubs take part in the project week with two teams each, one U17 team and one for people with disabilities. A youth team from a crisis area or developing country is also invited. In addition to the individual tournaments, there will be inclusive friendly matches in which all players with and without disabilities will play football together in mixed teams, regardless of gender, age, social background or disability.

The event is intended to enable the participating athletes with and without disabilities to experience inclusion on and off the pitch for a week in order to carry these insights from the football pitch into everyday life.
