Phase 6 of our project “Ukraine: Through Sport Into Society” has come to a successful close in Rzeszów, Poland.
Together with our trusted partner Don Bosco, we once again welcomed war-injured veterans, young players, and coaches from across Ukraine to the WR Sport Arena, whose continued support and outstanding facilities make this project possible.

Over the course of three inspiring days, participants took part in a combination of football training, psychological workshops, and polysportive activities designed to promote physical rehabilitation, mental resilience, and social reintegration.
On the pitch, Steve Johnson from FC Everton led intensive technical and tactical sessions, focusing on adaptability, teamwork, and inclusion — ensuring that every participant, regardless of their physical ability or experience, could actively take part and grow.
The essential psychological support component, once again guided by Dr. Lisa Miebach and Dr. Jürgen Buschmann, offered participants valuable tools for coping with trauma, stress, and emotional challenges. Through these sessions, many rediscovered self-confidence and a renewed sense of belonging. Beyond football, polysportive and e-sport activities provided additional opportunities for movement, cooperation, and enjoyment — reinforcing the project’s holistic approach to healing and inclusion.

Phase 6 marks another milestone in our ongoing mission to use sport as a bridge for social connection and rehabilitation. The progress and engagement of all participants continue to show how sport can truly transform lives, rebuild confidence, and bring people together across regions and generations.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Don Bosco, WR Sports, and all participants for their trust, commitment, and courage. Plans are already underway to continue this vital work into the next year, ensuring a lasting and sustainable impact.

Together we are stronger — together we move forward.
