In the upcoming days, we planned a new project in Lviv, Western Ukraine, in partnership with Don Bosco Jugendhilfe and coaches from FC Zurich and Benfica Lisboa. Our goal has been to train coaches and trainers in the football school of the Pokrava children's and youth home to train football teams with players with and without disabilities.
Not only the 135 residents of the youth home would have benefited from the training of the coaches. Each of the 50 trainers would have continued to work with at least one group of 25 children. Thus, a total of over 1000 children would have participated in the project.
But now there is war in Ukraine! We feel shocked, angry and infinitely sad. Our hearts go out to the children and carers of the Pokrova Youth Home. Our hearts go out to all Ukrainians. We will not leave you alone!
