The Special Adventure Camps are experiential educational sports holidays for young people with mental and/or physical disabilities.

FIM has been organising these camps since 2011 and Disability Football Clubs from all over Europe take part in them. What is special about them is that state schools from the local area are involved. In this way, young people with and without disabilities come into contact with each other. Through playing football together in mixed teams, various leisure activities and lectures in the schools about inclusion the participants come closer to each other – and experience first-hand that their differences are far smaller than their similarities.  Meetings between carers and trainers at the national and international level also facilitate a lively exchange and therefore a lasting transfer of knowledge. Workshops and further education programmes in the field of sports for persons with disabilities are offered and open to all interested parties.
