Here’s a brief outline of the FOOTBALL IS MORE projects, in which they are presented and categorized. FIM pursues its goals in three areas:

In the area of Inclusion and Integration FIM implements both experiential learning and sports events for children with disabilities as well as school projects on the topic “Inclusion in and through sports”.

The area of Development Aid is committed to general assistance, first aid for children’s support projects on site and the qualification and preparation of young “Coaches for development, inclusion and peace”. These help-for-self-help-concepts happen through the expertise of respective partner and address issues such as training for trainers, hygiene, first aid, streetwork, education in general and so on.

The area Forum & Consulting primarily consists of the renowned Forum “together we are stronger”, which takes place every two years in autumn in Bad Ragaz/Switzerland with partners such as the University of Liechtenstein or the Bundesliga Foundation. Contents like research, “best practice” and trends through corporate social responsibility in sport are presented and discussed by prominent personalities and speakers.

Project Basis: The Power of Football

Sports and in particular football with its global enthusiasm and charisma, its integrative potential for pooling as well as physical and emotional improvement, and last but not least its idolizing effect induces children with high levels of motivation to participate. It strengthens a sense for community and trust in others, promotes health and reinforces self-esteem as well as a feeling for the own body.

Furthermore football serves as an attractive platform for sponsorships, PR or extensive CSR activities. Thereby football offers numerous interdependent links and networking potentials for diverse programs, projects and conferences. In order to promote disadvantaged or disabled children one thing is clear:

“together we are stronger!”
